Custom Characters

Sometimes, you’ll want to create custom characters in roblox studio. These are used for players, npcs and whatever else you want them for.

For humanoid characters, click the avatar button on the top

Now, you’ll want to click Rig Builder, and choose the option you want

If you want to add accessories or shirts/pants to the character, you can import them from your avatar (my avatar button and drag it into the character model), or used external plugins and type the asset id (and drag the shirt/pants/accessory into the character model).

For custom characters that aren’t humanoids, add a humanoid object to the model you want to be a character, use a rig making plugin, create bones for the model, and add a invisible part called “HumanoidRootPart”. You can also import models with bones from blender and add the humanoid and HumanoidRootPart.
